In December 2011, I gained access to senior London Met Police detectives investigating the London riots. This opportunity evolved into the production of a documentary on Operation Withern. I was hired by Raw Cut TV to edit and co-produce the documentary The Hunt for the London Rioters.

  • Acted as the first point of contact with lead detective, Superintendent William Lyle of the Met Police.
  • Interviewed and filmed victims and senior detectives involved in the London riots investigation.
  • Researched crimes related to the London riots.
  • Completed the final edit for delivery and broadcast.

I successfully created the final documentary, receiving full approval from the Met Police and delivering it on time within a minimal budget. The documentary was selected for K7’s “What’s Hot List” at MIP 2014.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Editor and co-producer for the documentary The Hunt for the London Rioters in collaboration with the Met Police.
  • Consultant to Detective Superintendent William Lyle of the Met Police and the production team.
  • Granted full access to CCTV footage of the London riots by the Met Police.
  • Filmed all interviews with senior detectives regarding Operation Withern.
  • Filmed all interviews with victims of the London riots.
  • Conducted extensive research on Operation Withern for the documentary.
  • Served as the senior offline and online editor for the final documentary.

Achievements:

  • Secured full approval from the Met Police for the final documentary.
  • Delivered the documentary on time and within budget constraints.
  • The Hunt for the London Rioters was selected for K7’s “What’s Hot List” at MIP 20
