In July 2011, the independent production company Hooligan the Movie Ltd was established to produce a documentary feature film about the international football hooligan scene. While the concept for the film was in place, no story or script had been developed, making the production particularly challenging.

After detailed consultations with the producers, I organized all the media into a narrative structure that served as the foundation for the final story. For any gaps where footage was missing, I filmed cutaway material and re-enactment sequences to complete the film. Additionally, international footage from various countries had to be translated by contributors, with overdubs recorded to finalise the production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Senior film editor.
• 2nd unit director and camera operator for re-enactment sequences.
• Managed the offline edit and ensured final delivery of the film.
• Directed and filmed re-enactment scenes.
• Sourced camera operators, a music composer, and assistant editors for the production.

Achievements:

• Organized footage into a coherent story, forming the basis for the final script.
• Supervised international shooting teams in Germany, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil.
• Oversaw the translation and transcription of non-English footage.
• Contributed to the creation of the final narration script, voiced by Sean Bean.
• Delivered the final film on time and within budget, resulting in a successful release by distributor Eone.
